Details of Ten Month (Four Semester) Professional Journalism
Training
The Course: With the rapid growth of
media industry in Nepal, the demand side for able talented professional
journalist is growing. However, due to the lack of educational
facilities, the supply side of well-trained journalist has not been to
keep with demand. Thus, Media Point hopes to ease this shortage by
conducting the professional journalism course.
The course is designed as per the requirement of the present market.
Thus more than 70 percent of the total course duration will be spent on
practical way of learning. The participants will be engaged more in
practical activities. However, the importance of theoretical knowledge
will not be undermined. Media Point, being the network of professional
media persons dedicated to both print and broadcast media. The course
will be interactive way of learning with the experience of the renowned
resource persons, which they have gathered for years. During the course
period there will be also well-known personalities is Nepalese media as
guest lecturers.
